Mine is on it's way to Wendy!

I have been so bad, my rr has been ready for a couple weeks now and I just kept putting it off. Finally I remembered and it's off in the mail today. Sorry for my delay. Hope Wendy gets it soon. Don't know how many days it takes to get to Canada.
Until later,
Donna

Rowyn's RR arrived!

Rowyn, I just wanted to let you know your package arrived safe and sound this weekend, and I'm looking forward to starting on it.

I also realized I never posted a picture of what my final decision ended up being.

Its 36 ct Days Gone By from Silkweaver, the primary floss is Raisin Wine, and the accent color is Old Maid of the Soil, both from Vikki Clayton.

Posting today....

Yes, I am sending off mine today. I finished up my initials/date and the rabbit.
Here is a snap -

I have used "Old Maid of the Sea" for the main silk and the secondary silks are two of the three colours that make up the variegated OMOTS. The initials are in Nisse Grey and the rabbit is done in Steelies. In the package I have included a short note and the all the extra silk for the project. If you have any questions feel free to email me -

Take care,
edgar

I finished late last night.....

I wanted to make sure I finished. I'm happy with how it turned out. Loved stitching the bunny. Today is a free day from school, so I plan to stitch alot today! I'll most likely wait to send mine till the end of the week. By then I'll have my other exchange ready to ship too.

See ya later!

Donna

I can't make a decision!

Hi Friends~
I admire (and I'm envious) of you that have started on your RR's! Meanwhile I realize the downside to having too much fabric stash....it gives you too many choices! I have been going back and forth between decisions as to what to use for my RR. And back and forth between floss choices too. How on earth did you ever make your final decision?

I'm getting to the point where I'm asking my hubby to decide for me....and believe me, I have never done that before. His colour taste, well, he just doesn't have any. But I really need to get my section started and the days are passing by. I'm in such a quandry!

On it's way to San Francisco

I have today mailed my stitching to Edgar. It usually takes 5-7 days to travel from UK to US and I really hope it arrives safe and sound.  Maybe you will let me know when it does arrive please?

Getting there...

I worked some on mine last night and here is a progress snap -

I am now waiting for my extra silk from Vicki at HDF, due to my colour change I did not have enough to send this out into the world. My plan was to finish and get it out next Tuesday.... but the best laid plans don'tcha' know!!! If it is ready to go I say send away, the dates for mailing I feel are the outside times it should be sent to allow for mailing and stitching. As soon as I get mine together I will post this sucker off - zoom!!!!

Take care,
edgar

A little more on mine.....

I got a tiny bit more done. I plan to have this ready this weekend. Can't wait to stitch the little bunny!

Sorry you had to rip Edgar! I like your color!

Donna

PS: Should we mail early if we want too?

A start.....some ripping and a new start.... finally

I started mine the other evening and worked away at it ..... then picked it up again last night and worked some more. The more I stitched the less happy I was with it. It was looking VERY stripey!! Then I tried to scatter the stitches and make it look a little more blocky and that looked freckled and spotty. I then finally made the decision to rip/frog/pull out everything that I had done and go with a colour I had thought about doing when I started the piece. I decided to go back to HDF "Old Maid of the Sea." Here is a snap of the little bit I got done after all the bother....

This is a terrible picture, I even tried to adjust the lighting on the computer ( it did not work).... I will get a better on tonight. I am much happier with the way this is turning out. I have also ordered some secondary colours from HDF so I have not made a decision on what colour the rabbit will be.....yet. :)

Take care,
edgar

I finally ordered my fabric

After much deliberation, I am going with 32 count Haystack from Countrystitch. I can't wait for it to arrive so I can get started!

My beginning!

This is the start of mine! I really like using the silks! They don't seem to knot up on me!

My green looks almost black!

Donna

My section is done!

I finished my section and I could have carried on but, I was really good and have stopped! As you can see, I 'stole' Edgar's idea of stitching the rabbit in another colour and, although I was going to subsitute a squirrel for him, I decided against it so as to make it easier to count for whoever is going to stitch that section.

If you prefer your vines to be mirror images, be careful when stitching the first leaf at the top of the left hand side and the flower bud on the right hand side which is next to the 8, as they are different on the chart. I altered them but, of course, it's up to you but I like symmetry!

I am looking forward to seeing someone else's WIP so how about some photos?
